考前最担心的题型应该就是TR-作品分析文写作了，这次老师帮大家总结了写作重点、常用句式表达、quotes的注意事项等考前必须清楚的知识点
正在备战VCE EAL的同学们，
现在应该开始为最后的大考进行总复习了！
是否已经选定一个最后的Text了呢？
今天就以电影The Queen作为例子，
跟大家来聊一下VCE EAL Text Response
有哪些注意事项吧！
一、作品分析(Text Response)概况
VCE EAL作品分析（Text Response，以下简称TR）一般是VCE EAL的第一个SAC，占30%。而在最后的大考中，TR的地位也是不容小觑，占EAL考试的40%，作文长度在700-900字左右。
考生需要在VCE EAL 12年级所学的文本中，选择一个进行深入分析。考试的时候，每个作品有两个题目，一般一个是关于人物的，另一个是关于主题的，考生需选择一个题目进行作答。
那么，VCE EAL TR有哪些写作注意事项呢？
二、TR作答方法
在这里，老师推荐同学们熟悉不同Genre对应的Metalanguage，作为举例切入点。
在VCE EAL Language Analysis的学习中，我们接触到很多Metalanguage，包括Persuasive Language techniques，比如Repetition、Imagery、Metaphor等。类似地，在Text Response中，其实也涉及到Metalanguage的运用，比如常见的：Setting，Characters，Plot/event，Symbolism等。
而根据所选Text体裁（Genre）的不同，Metalanguage也会有所不同。这也就意味着，我们找的examples/evidence和分析的侧重点也会有所不同。大致来说，可以分为以下几类：
1、小说Novel
•Tone
•Climax
•Narrator & Narrative
•Characterisation
•Foreshadowing
以小说The Longest Memory 为例：
•The novel applies non-linear narrative to uncover the same story of Chapel’s death from multiple perspectives, which reinforces the traumatic memory in an unconfined way.
•In chapter 7, the fact that Cook ‘has to call her son twice’ foreshadows the danger of being caught because Chapel and Lydia are ‘so absorbed’ in their secret love that they pay little attention to their surroundings.
2、电影Film
•Camera angles/shots
•Sound
•Lighting
•Mise-en-scene
以电影The Queen为例：
•The diegetic sound of bagpipes exhibit the entrenched British tradition.
•The Queen’s vulnerability is demonstrated in the close-up shot when Queen Elizabeth snuggled down in the warm bed.
3、戏剧Play
•Monologue
•Dialogue
•Soliloquy
•Costuming
•Props
以The 7 Stages of Grieving为例：
In Scene 14, when relaying the story of the young Aboriginal man, Yocke, the woman uses a long and emotionless monologue to demonstrate the racial brutality and structural injustice that he and his group are faced with.
这些Metalanguage是帮助我们寻找例子的切入点。根据文本种类的不同，我们需要熟悉并深入分析上面这些术语和内容，以此切入并融入到分析中。
三、积累Sentence Starters，多样化表达
VCE EAL在表达观点时，我们需要使用不同句型来使表达更流畅，更有逻辑性。除了同学们经常使用的：This shows/ demonstrates/ highlights/ emphasizes/ conveys (the idea) that… 之外，根据我们具体发分析内容，还有很多句型可以用在句首，如：
1.The structure of the text reflects the exploration of …
2.(角色名) is depicted as …. This is shown, for example, when they…
3.A recurring motif of the text is …, which is associated with …
4. (作品名) endorses the values of …, as shown by …
5.The author / director / playwright’s point of view on … is expressed through the experiences of (角色名) when ….
继续以电影The Queen为例：
•The tension between Queen Elizabeth and the Prime Minister is evident during their first meeting when the Queen clearly states that she has been queen with ten prime ministers, which indicates their incompatibility.
•Frears shows that Blair is at an inferior position to the Queen through the use of low angle shot when he is walking up the stairs.
VCE EAL类似的表达还有很多，同学们可以在平时看范文时多积累，丰富自己的语言表达。
四、quotes的运用需要短小精悍
同学们肯定都知道，想要证明自己对文本分词熟悉，在VCE EAL主体段Body paragraphs中，一定要引用原文中的话，即quotes。
那么，quotes要怎么用？是不是越多越好呢？
其实，VCE EAL每段主体段最好用到至少2个quotes，而且要能够有机融入到分析中去，让分析更有说服力。还是以电影The Queen为例：
http://1.In The Queen, Tony Blair is the didactic character who reminds the Queen that Diana’s achievement or ‘even just to her as a mother’ is a reason for her to at least admit the painful loss of Diana.
2. Queen Elizabeth is regarded as indifferent and frigid whereas Diana, the ‘people’s princess’, was seen as warm and benevolent.
3. The Queen realizes that people ‘want glamor and tears’, which is unnatural for her and opposite to her reaction to Diana’s death.
上面两个例子都截取了短语，而不是整句话。如果把整句话复制黏贴上去，并不能体现我们的分析能力。因此，更推荐的方式是在我们VCE EAL的分析穿插进合适的几个单词长度的短语或词组中，这种方式更能体现英语的写作能力。
五、补充：电影The Queen故事梗概
The Queen是一部2006年的传记剧情片，讲述了1997年戴安娜王妃意外身故后，伊丽莎白女王和王室对事件的回应。最初，王室将戴安娜的死视为私人事件，因此不会被视为正式的王室死亡，引起了民众的对王室的不满。
王室的态度也与英国首相 托尼·布莱尔和戴安娜的前夫查尔斯王子的观点形成鲜明对比，后者赞成公众希望官方表达悲痛的愿望。因此，压力重重的“平民首相”布莱尔必须尽快找到解决办法，抚平民众的不满与怨气，让女王与人民的关系恢复往日的和睦，同时确立起自己的声望和威信。
