一定要花3-8分钟审题，写简要提纲。
好处: a.节省时间；
b.避免思维混乱跑题；
c.构思并预算字数（一旦发现字数不够可加例子）。

全篇主要用现在时态，包括: 1）一般现在时，2）现在进行时，3）现在完成时， 同时还会用到, 4）一般过去时, 举例说明过去情况时就会用到；5）被动语态，也在议论文中频繁使用到，因为它能表达一种更加客观的态度。（标点符号，主要用逗号和句号，英文中没有省略号和书名号）
1）一般现在时
It is generally believed that excessive intake of fast food leads to obesity easily.
2）现在进行时
China is getting increasingly powerful and wealthy.
3）现在完成时
Since last year’s financial crisis, many enterprises have gone bankrupt.
The Internet has dramatically revolutionized almost every aspect of our lives.
4）一般过去时
Dakucha, the office building of CCTV is exactly a good example, which once looked fancy and unique enough but soon suffered in a fire that could not be put off in time because of this strange building’s complicated structure.
5）被动语态（试比较下列的主动句和被动句，看看哪一种更客观？）
A: If parents do not give their children proper guidance, they will go astray easily.
B: If children are not guided properly, whey will go astray easily.
A: The government should take effective measures to combat the problem.
B: Effective measures should be taken to combat the problem.

仔细读题干，完成题干要求，例如：
1.题干要求分析+解决
These days, it seems that an increasing number of people are leaving rural areas to live in the city. Discuss some of the effects of rural depopulation (migration from the country to the city) and suggest some ways in which this trend could be reversed.
这篇文章的题干中要求：先讨论这种现象的影响，然后还要给出解决方案。如果漏掉其中任何一个要求，其起评分将为6分以下。
2.讨论两方观点+自己观点
Some people think that a sense of competition in children should be encouraged. Others believe that children who are taught to co-operate rather than compete become more useful adults. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.
这篇文章的题干中要求先讨论两方的观点，那么你要先将两方的观点分别加以阐述，然后还有给出自己的总结观点，如果你只讨论了其中一个观点，其起评分将为6分以下。

正文的每一个段一定要有一个明确的【主题”，如果你写不出【主题句”来，但至少每个段都要围绕着同一个主题来展开，比如，一个段的主题是【网络提供大量信息”，那么这个段就要围绕【信息”来阐述，切不可在讲信息的同时又顺带说【网络也是一种强大的交流工具”。
锦囊五
全篇至少要有一个例子。那么，什么是例子？其实例子可以有3中形式，即：1.几个单词，2. 一句话，3. 一个简要的故事。例如：
1. Smoking may lead to many illnesses, such as the lung cancer. 在这里的例子就是两个单词：lung cancer。
2. Technology has improved human’s lives, for instance, the washing machine liberates housewives from heavy housework. 此处的例子就是一句话。
3. An interesting example I want to cite is a real story which happened in Inner Mongolia in China, where foxes were all killed by the hunters. But later, they found it wrong because the number of rats increased dramatically without the threat from their enemies—the fox.
